Westpac, a corporate member of Rainbow Auckland, has generously agreed to fund the two general scholarships offered by Rainbow Auckland through the Gaba Charitable Trust.
Every year the GABA Charitable Trust offers two $3,000 scholarships for the first year of tertiary study. The awards are offered annually to students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or intersex (LGBTI); are seen as good role models by peers and teachers; and who have excelled in effort and achievement in their secondary education.
Applications closed 30th September 2016 for study in the 2017 academic year, and the results will be announced at the December Mixer.
